Nelson Mandela – Social and Civic Competences

Social and Civic competences include all forms of behavior that equip individuals to participate in an effective and constructive way in social and working life and to resolve conflict where necessary. It is linked to personal and social well-being. An understanding of codes of conduct and customs in the different environments in which individuals operate is essential.
Mobility projects offer testing experiences, handling different challenges in a new country with a different language spoken in a special way. Mobility makes a contribution to the development of European citizenship and participants represent a bridge between different countries.
Why Nelson Mandela?
Nelson Mandela (18 July 1918 – 5 December 2013) was a South African revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist, who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. His fight against apartheid in South Africa cost him 27 years in jail.
